Fall is our birthday season, yes it is a season.
We celebrated four birthdays in September & October.
Caitlyn turned 12 years old in September. She is very happy to be in Young Womens and has weathered the transition well. Her biggest excitement was getting her ears pierced. She just finished wearing her studs and is excitedly changing earrings every day.
Jaryn turned 10 years old in October. He is well on his way; working towards his Webelos in cub scouts. We celebrated his birthday a couple of days early which turned out to be a blessing. He got a black eye on his actual birthday which pretty much ruined his day. Tiffany dropped the kids off at school and before the first bell even rang Jaryn and one of his friends smacked into each other running full speeds. Jaryn received a black eye; his friend a bloody nose and a big bang on the head.
Both boys went home for the day.
Josey turned 5 years old in September. She had her first birthday party with friends. She was very excited, loved her pumpkin cake, and expected to go to Kindergarten the next day. She really wants to go to school.
Rylie turned 3 years old in October. She fully expected to sprout wings so she could fly. Thankfully she settled on a butterfly cake; the wings of the butterfly were good enough for her. She just told her Dad recently, when he asked when she will start using the big potty, "After Christmas." I hope she is serious about that. Mom and Dad are ready to not buy diapers anymore.
And when we weren't celebrating birthdays....
Rylie put this big sticker on her hand and called it her tatoo.
All had fun carving our pumpkin for Halloween accept for Rylie. She was totally grossed out over the idea. She gagged and carried on; we thought she was going to throw up. She refused to even sit by the Ol' Jack for a picture.
We had a quiet Halloween, skipping out on trick-o-treating. We did attend two parties instead. The kids went dressed as a cat, pirate, fairies, and princess.
Tiffany's Grandma came to visit in November. Her stay was short but we enjoyed having her. The kids were so sad when she left. We were able to spend some time with her at the Mesa Temple which was nice. Thanks for coming Grandma.
Excuse the picture - it would not rotate. Not sure why. Quincy had a fun opportunity recently to be the principal for one hour. She talked on the intercom, spoke on the teacher radios, made decisions, read to kids, talked on the phone, did paperwork, teachers asked for raises and policy changes, put mail in the mailbox, made announcements, proofread and signed a letter to parents that went home that day. Pictured above is her signature and title. She had a blast. Mom asked her is she wanted to be a principal when she grows up. She replied, "I want to be a mom but I want to learn about veternarians and principals."
